As the days go on, I am amazed on how much you've learned and continue to learn. I've been told that time doesn't fly until you have children and they just sprout right before your eyes. That is exactly how I feel. I can't believe how much you've grown in just 7 months. I feel like you were just in my tummy a month ago.
Life's been so busy with the holidays and I've been caught up in the commercialization of Christmas...gifts, wants, gifts...that I missed you changing right before me. So tonight I stopped the chaos and just spent the entire night with you. We played with blocks, I built them high and showed you how to knock them down. You were having so much fun knocking them down, mommy couldn't build them up fast enough. After blocks it was time for dinner. You love to eat. As you were eating mommy sang some Christmas songs...Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman and the ABC song.
Then your favorite time...bath time. You just love your bath and the bath squirters that Grammy bought for you. As I started to fill the sink, I dumped your toys in the water and you wanted to jump right in to play. You would play all night if you could. One night daddy was giving you a bath I heard you crying. I wondered why and went to your room while daddy put you in you jammies. I asked him why you were so upset and he said because you didn't want to get out, but then I saw you didn't have a toy in your hand. Silly daddy, he didn't know that you take a bath squirter with you when you get out. You play with it and babble while you get your baby massage and jammies on.
I love you so much baby boy. I never knew I could love someone so much. I love your daddy so very much but everyone always told me that a mother's love is different and so strong. I love your sweet baby smell, beautiful smile, laugh and babbling, your wonderful personality and the way you look at me and love me. I just can't imagine how I could love another child just as much. I know God makes a mommy and daddy's heart special so that we can. So when God decides to bring you a brother or sister, we'll love them just as much as you.
But one thing...I do wish you would sleep better at night, at least longer than 3 hours at a time, 5-6 would be nice. You're such a social butterfly, you don't want to miss out on anything. As I finish writing, you are crying, you've only been sleeping 3.5 hours. Daddy is trying to sooth you, I guess mommy better come to the rescue. Love,
Mommy

Your pictures turned out BEAUTIFUL! What a sweet post.
Such beautiful words. The pictures are wonderful. Merry Christmas.(I, obviously, don't have the gift to write as you do.)
Beautiful words and photos. Isn't motherhood just indescribable? Well, I suppose the fact that I'm willing to do it eleven times over says what I think of it. :)
I hope Chase will give you the special gift of a little more sleep this Christmas.
Oh, and this isn't too important, but I think you meant to say "days" and not "months" in that first paragraph?
I guess 3 months was wishful thinking. I wasn't kidding when I said time flies by...it's now 3 days. :)
Love your family pictures and a look back on baby Chase. Time really does fly by. Before you know we will be planning that 1st birthday. :( Sad but still exciting. :) They just keep getting more fun as the older they get. As sad as it is that they are growing up. Very sweet post for Chase to read when he gets older.
