New Beginnings...A program for women

Wow it's late and I should be in bed but I must write this down before I forget. I always brainstorm and get ideas at night and never write them down. This is for me to go back and review and make it happen.

I was putting away my dress clothes and sighed because I really need to sort through them and get rid of some. I thought I'd just give them to the Thrift store but then thought to take them to Lous' Backdoor. But then a great idea clicked...New Beginnings!

I would like to someday start a non-profit for women who are homeless or in a women's shelter. The idea would be to have a whole program in place to help them get back on their feet and get a job. The concept would be to provide them with enough professional clothes to create five different outfits. They would get a free new haircut, techniques on how to apply makeup and receive free makeup. The program would also have workshops for them on interviewing, dressing for success, etc.

I know yo u always hear that it's not the outside that counts but the inside. But on the contrary, if a women looks nice and feels good about herself she will have confidence.

I plan on using my connections in order to get the free haircuts and make up. And all the clothes would be donated. I believe if we empower these women, they will be able to get back on their feet and excel.
